LRKR Daily - Fri Nov 1, 2019 (Blueprint Coffee)
Last night I got a ticket for “Improper Lane Use” in the Delmar Loop. I had just finished up at Blueprint Coffee and was headed to trick or trick with my nephew on Halloween. Three cars were sitting in the lane while the traffic light turned green and red several times in a row. I saw a police officer behind me, but I figured there would be no problem to go around the cars that were blocking traffic. I went for it and got pulled over immediately. Now I need to deal with that.
Today I’m back at Blueprint Coffee trying to figure out what next steps I’m taking with music and life. I still feel trapped and I’m not sure what to do. I have scripts written, ideas to execute, but no direct plan of action. I’ve been learning to code Python bit by bit and I think that will be useful.
I spoke with Patrick briefly about my acoustic treatment idea and, though I’ve found other St Louis companies that provide the service like GAUS Acoustics, Acousticontrol, and Sondare Acoustics, he’s encouraged me to continue making connections. He also suggested a survey of restaurants using an acoustic metering device. I found the XL2 Audio and Acoustic Analyzer, which would be the perfect tool for mapping the acoustics in buildings. It’s very expensive. Learning Python may actually be useful if I want to plot this data in a readable way.
NOTE: I’ve been a little ADD today with this post and have been working in Code Academy for the most part. So I’ll end this here. Until next time.
